Takeru didn’t sound happy, either. With alcohol influencing his emotions—be them love, hate, arousal, anger—they were a little on overdrive. If he was mad, then he was really mad. “What I’ve done? Who do you think you’re kidding? This is your mess, Daisuke! How many times do you think I asked you about hiding something, huh? I wouldn’t…” Takeru shook his head. “Ken’s my friend, too. A really, really good friend! If I had known there was something between you guys, I wouldn’t have ever agreed to what you proposed to me just now, no matter how wasted I was!”

Even Takeru felt pretty betrayed. What happened on Christmas was one thing—even playing Seven Minutes in Heaven was another—but things had gotten too far. For a moment, he even thought that Daisuke might have actually liked him. Now that was stupid. Takeru was just glad that he didn’t start getting real feelings for Daisuke like he inevitably might have had this continued, or this would have all ended up being even more fucked up.

“…I’m going to apologize to Ken first chance I get tomorrow. As for you, Daisuke,” Takeru started, turning around so he could grab his shirt and probably leave before he might throw up on Nene’s carpet, “you need to get your priorities straight.”

Takeru was right. About everything. And that only made Daisuke more upset. Like Daisuke had said before, he was Mr. Perfect. He couldn’t handle being here anymore. In this house, with these people, all these eyes watching him, judging him all the time. He could never run from their eyes. They’d always know what he’s done and what he’ll do.

“You know what?” He started, his voice now sounding care-free. He was angry, and still a little tipsy, but he just stopped caring entirely. “Fuck you. You wanted that, too. I wasn’t the only one in there, trust me. Don’t give me your bullshit on getting my priorities straight, maybe you should. Maybe you should go tell Hikari what happened and we’ll see how well that works out for you.

He turned on his heel and began walking back in the direction he was headed in before, then it turned into a light jog until he was full out running down the halls.

Takeru froze a little in his steps at that, but he didn’t say anything—didn’t argue back against Daisuke. Just let him leave. Daisuke’s words really stung, because they were true. When it came to Hikari, Takeru wasn’t perfect at all. He had a lot of insecurities—too many.

About Hikari… I’m afraid. If she were to reject me, I just couldn’t stand it. I value our friendship too much to risk anything. I still don’t understand if she feels the same way. That’s why I…

There was too much to lose if things didn’t work out with Hikari—and that’s why Takeru shied away from it. Distracted himself, even. Always plagued by wondering if he should selfishly pursue her or leave what he worried might be a more fragile relationship than he thought. What if things could only go down from from being together with her? A good relationship can only last so long sometimes. The thought simply troubled him too much. But how long could he dwell on someone who was too important to lose?

When things happened between Daisuke and himself, he had certainly felt guilty about it, but he shoved those thoughts in the back of his mind. Hikari and I aren’t a couple, he had told himself. In that case, it made it okay to indulge a little in selfish pleasures, right? Maybe he could even move past Hikari and eventually become completely content with what their friendship already was. With Daisuke of all people… Man, what the hell was I thinking? I’m such an idiot.

Takeru tugged his shirt on as soon as he found it on the ground, heading to Nene’s kitchen and scribbling a note down on a small piece of paper before deciding to leave. At this point right now, it was probably for the best.

Sorry I left—there was an important emergency. I hope you all like the presents I got you. Happy Holidays.

Daisuke got up, rubbing his jaw and his eyes after Miyako left with Ken. He’d really messed up now, and he didn’t know if he could even fix it at this point. He slowly started to make his way in the direction they scurried off to, giving them a bit of time before he’d catch up and try to explain himself.

When Daisuke had shoved him off the bed, it took him a long moment to get his head back on straight—everything was confusing and swirling around and god did his head hurt. He had heard a lot of yelling and screaming outside of the room for various reasons, and though it was difficult to make out what was going on as he waited for the rush in his head to pass, he could at least register one thing: what it was that Daisuke had been hiding.

After Takeru finally managed to get back on his feet with a groan, he tugged his discarded pants back on and headed out to the hallway where he was met with an incredibly defeated-looking Daisuke. It was probably better that Takeru had missed everything…

“What are you thinking, Daisuke?” was all he asked, sounding disappointed. Takeru had been left completely in the dark about Ken, after all.

Daisuke heard a very groggy Takeru behind him and turned around only to be met with one of the most disappointed looks he’s ever received. And he’d got a lot over the course of his life.

“You…” He said, his voice rising in anger. “This is all YOUR fault! I… I told you I didn’t want to do anything. That day. Christmas. And you… you still freaking… look at what you’ve DONE!”

Takeru didn’t sound happy, either. With alcohol influencing his emotions—be them love, hate, arousal, anger—they were a little on overdrive. If he was mad, then he was really mad. “What I’ve done? Daisuke’s hands had gripped at the boy’s back, suppressing a long over-due moan. His breathing became shoddy, his chest heaving as Takeru’s hands ran down until it reached his belt. One hand came up and grasped at the back of Takeru’s head, the boy’s blonde hair crushed between his fingers as he heard the sounds of his belt being undone and his jeans slowly being slid off.

The way Daisuke grabbed at him was encouraging. Takeru dragged his tongue along Daisuke’s collarbone as he continued to make progress with the front of Daisuke’s pants, pulling the zipper down before tugging his pants down to his knees, leaving him in his boxers. This was really it now—this was the point of no return.

Almost shyly, Takeru ghosted his fingers over the front of Daisuke’s boxers, lightly feeling how hard he was underneath the flimsy fabric. This was definitely uncharted territory for him… Takeru never thought he’d be doing this with a guy, and certainly not with Daisuke of all people, but alcohol and general confusion led to a lack of clear thinking. “Daisuke…” was all he said quietly beneath his breath as he added pressure to his touch, feeling a little bolder.

“T-Takeru…” Daisuke moaned, his grip becoming tighter. He’d never been touched there before, especially like that. His toes curled, scrunching up the sheets and he brought his knee up closer to them, wrapping itself around on of Takeru’s legs. He could feel all the blood rush right out of his head and in between his legs. He gasped when he realized what exactly was happening to him and he bit his lip, trying to hold everything in. He wanted Takeru to go further, be rougher with him.

Takeru began to touch him more confidently, his palm firmly pressed between Daisuke’s legs as he slowly rubbed him through the fabric. Daisuke’s reactions only prompted Takeru to take things another step forward, even if he was ignoring how hard he was in his own pants in favor of focusing on Daisuke.

Aww, all those baby digimon are adorable but that Tokomon looks ready to eat you, Takeru.

Haha, he just gets jealous easily! But it’s hard to ignore all of the cute baby Digimon…
You’re familiar with Primary Village too, aren’t you, Ken?

Daisuke felt his bare skin brush against the other boy’s and arched his back into him. His hands glided across Takeru’s back and made their way further down, his fingers tracing every bump in the boy’s spine, coasting along his firm skin on his lower back until they found their way to the front. He slipped his thumb into the front of the boy’s pants and undid the button, gripping this sides and sliding them down Takeru’s legs.

He let himself be pushed harder into the bed, his tongue twisting with the other boy’s. He realized that this may have been getting a bit intense, but it was too late to turn back now, and with the image of Ken and Miyako flashing across his mind, it only prompted him to go further.

Takeru suppressed a shiver at the feeling of Daisuke’s fingers ghosting along his back, tracing his skin. Having never been touched in such a manner before as well as the alcohol influencing his senses made the simple touch especially good, sending a certain heat straight between his legs, overwhelming him.

“D-Daisuke,” Takeru gasped upon pulling apart, taking notice of the way that Daisuke had tugged his pants down, somewhat freeing himself from the confines of his pants which had been beginning to feel pretty tight. “You’re sure about this?” he asked with the final shreds of common sense left in him. He maintained his grip on Daisuke’s shoulders, keeping him pressed down to the mattress.

Daisuke looked up at Takeru, the boy’s face developing a soft pink glow and his eyes only slightly drooping. He swallowed dryly, his hands moving back to the boy’s lower back. “…Yeah.” He said quietly. He couldn’t supress his urges anymore. “Yeah, I’m sure.”

Takeru’s eyes narrowed slightly, his eyes somewhat glazed over with lust. “Alright then,” he muttered, leaning forward once again to press his lips to Daisuke’s jaw, trailing them down his throat as his tongue traced over the mark he had left earlier. In the meantime, he released Daisuke’s shoulders to run his hands down past his bare chest and stomach before working on undoing his belt. Whatever it was that Daisuke had planned by tugging down his own pants, he didn’t want Daisuke to be the only one doing anything.
